Bosch C3 Battery Charging Modes
After connecting the Bosch C3 Battery Charger, the unit will automatically exclude battery modes which do not apply to the specifications of the battery. Depending on the voltage of the battery you have connected, the C3 charger will let you choose one of the following modes:
•Mode 1: 6V - charging
•Mode 2: 12V - charging of motorcycles
•Mode 3: 12V - charging of cars
•Mode 4: 12V - charging - winter / AGM
•Includes mounting hook for conveniently hanging the charger near the vehicle.
Charger Protection Functions
•The charger switches to standby mode in the following abnormal situations:
•Remaining battery voltage < 6V (12V batteries).
•Open circuit (no battery or only one pole connected to charger).
•Reverse polarity (the DC cables from the charger are incorrectly connected to the battery).
•Overheating Protection (if the unit becomes excessively hot during charging, the output power is automatically reduced to avoid damage to the charger).
